Brayco™ Micronic 776 RP is a petroleum base, medium viscosity, light colored ISO Grade 22 hydraulic oil used in high performance hydraulic systems. It is a blend of selected, highly refined, high flash point base stocks with suitable additives to yield a product with unusually good anti-wear properties, low rubber swell, and excellent oxidation stability. It provides corrosion protection, dispersancy and is completely shear stable. Brayco Micronic 776 RP is specially processed to meet a guaranteed, low particulate contaminant level.

 

Application

Brayco Micronic 776 RP was developed for use in hydraulic systems that must respond with extreme accuracy. It was developed to replace aircraft hydraulic fluid in micro-hydraulic systems, computer programmed animation for robots, and other systems in which fire resistance, trouble-free operation, leak resistance, and fast precise responses are major requirements. In addition to its intended use, it is currently being used in computer and tape controlled hydraulic systems such as high precision automatic machine tools, data recovery systems, and in rail car control systems and brakes.

Specification - Brayco Micronic 776 RP meets stringent specifications that have been accepted as contractual requirements with various OEM users.
Shelf Life - Brayco Micronic 776RP has a maximum recommended shelf life of 6 years from date of manufacture. This shelf life assumes that the product is stored in its original unopened packaging in ambient temperature conditions.

Castrol Brayco™ Micronic 783 is a petroleum-based, low viscosity, ISO grade 15 red-coloured hydraulic and preservative fluid for aircraft and ordnance use. It is a blend of selected petroleum oils with additives which provide exceptionally good viscosity-temperature characteristics, good anti-wear properties, controlled rubber swell, good shear stability and excellent oxidation resistance. Brayco Micronic 783 is an excellent corrosion preventative and provides a high degree of detergency to maintain clean systems.

Brayco Micronic 783 meets the requirements of and is qualified to the MIL-PRF-6083F military specification. It also meets the requirements for a P-15 preservative under the packaging specification MIL-P-116. This fluid is identified by the Military Symbol OHT and NATO Code Number C-635.

 

Application

Brayco Micronic 783 is designed for aircraft, ordnance and other general hydraulic use and for preserving hydraulic components over a temperature range of -54ºC to 135ºC (-65ºF to 275ºF). It may be used as an operational preservative fluid for all tactical and support ordnance intended for use in MIL-PRF-5606 service. Brayco Micronic 783 can be used in the hydraulic systems of missile ground support equipment and is particularly suitable for use in systems with long periods of inactivity during service.

 

Conditions of Use

  • Brayco Micronic 783 is generally used in contact with "L" type standard synthetic rubber material.
  • May be used with conventional oil and grease resistant paints.
  • As with all other fluids meeting MIL-PRF-6083 requirements, this product should only be mixed with other fluids meeting MIL-PRF-5606, MIL-PRF-46170 and MIL-PRF-83282 specifications.

Castrol Vario™ HDX is a high performance machine tool lubricant, developed to conform to the HLP-D (detergent) classification for hydraulic fluids.

Application

Castrol Vario HDX also incorporates lubricity additives to give smooth slideway motion on the combined hydraulic and slideway lubrication systems of some grinding and gear cutting machine tools. Castrol HLP-D fluids contain detergency additives which maintain dirt and oil oxidation products in suspension, preventing them from settling out and forming deposits which could impair the free operation of valves, leading to erratic system operation. Machine tool manufacturer's are increasingly specifying HLP-D fluids such as Vario HDX, having recognised their advantages in increased system reliability.

The Castrol Carelube™ HES hydraulic oil range are based on carefully selected synthetic esters, which are highly biodegradable and recommended for use in situations where leakage or spillage may present a risk of harm to the environment.

Available in 208L drums.

 

Application

The Carelube HES range is used as a hydraulic oil for applications in environmentally sensitive areas such as; near or on waterways, and in the agriculture, forestry, mining and construction industries. The range may also be used for machine tool hydraulic systems where ester based soluble cutting fluids are being utilised and minimisation of impact of contamination is required. Carelube HES range is miscible with conventional mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids and products based on natural esters but, in order to maximise the performance benefits of these products - both physically and environmentally, either through draining or flushing to minimise residues of other lubricants is recommended. This range is fully compatible with the elastomer materials commonly used for static and dynamic seals, such as nitrile, silicone and fluorinated (e.g. Viton) polymers.

Carelube HES is classified as follows: ISO 6743/4 - Hydraulic Oils Type HEES
Carelube HES grades meet the requirements (for appropriate viscosity grade) of: ISO DIS 15380 VDMA 24568 Komatsu G3/G4

The use of a polymeric viscosity index improver of low molecular weight provides stability in comparison to typical hydraulic fluids.

 

Application

Brayco Micronic 756 is designed for use in aircraft, missile, and ordnance hydraulic systems where long term stability and a low temperature fluid is required. Brayco Micronic 756 is filtered to meet rigid particle contaminant requirements. It is intended for use in automatic pilots, shock absorbers, brakes, flap-control mechanisms, missile hydraulic servo-controlled systems and other hydraulic systems using synthetic sealing materials. Fluids compounded to meet this specification undergo certain changes with use. Further information relative to usable life may be found in Fainman and Mackenzie, "The Characteristics and Performance of Specification MIL-H-5606 Hydraulic Fluid," Lubrication Engineering 22234 (1966).

Castrol Hyspin™ AWH-M hydraulic oils are mineral oil based anti-wear hydraulic fluids which incorporate viscosity index improvers in order to enhance their viscosity - temperature performance for use in environments which are subject to low or widely variable temperatures. The high viscosity index can also allow a degree of rationalisation of hydraulic fluids across different equipment in order to reduce the number of lubricants carried on board.

 

Application

Castrol Hyspin AWH-M contains a shear stable VI which helps maintain the viscosity characteristics of the product over a wide range as well as through prolonged use. Utilising, the same additive system, as described for the Hyspin AWS product range, means that Hyspin AWH-M exhibits excellent corrosion and wear protection as well as outstanding thermal and oxidative stability. In addition, Hyspin AWH-M has excellent stability in the presence of water and separates rapidly from such contamination upon standing.
