Castrol GTX Classic 10w-40 Engineered for Older Technology Engines and Classic Cars
Castrol GTX Classic 10W/40 is a multigrade engine oil of good all-round performance, formulated with high-quality mineral oils plus selected additives, ideally suited to older technology engines and classic cars.
Designed to meet the vehicle manufacturers’ original engine oil requirements for older vehicles running under normal operational and service conditions.
Contains anti-wear additives to provide the levels of protection necessary for older technology engines.
Recommended for vehicles manufactured post-1978 to pre-1993, excluding vehicles equipped with catalytic converters.
Castrol GTX Classic 10W/40 is suitable for use in vehicles where the manufacturer recommended an API SG or earlier specification 10W-40 engine oil.
Castrol GTX Classic 10w-40 is specially engineered to protect older technology engines and classic cars.

API SG
This product should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to avoid the possible ingress of water and damage to drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C, or exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.
