Castrol Lubricity Additive S 501 is a water-soluble lubricity enhancer specially formulated for soluble coolants. Its unique ester-based additive package increases lubrication properties during machining to improve tool life and surface finish. It can be used in single sump machines as well as central systems.

Castrol’s S 501 additive is specially formulated for use with Castrol’s soluble and semisynthetic coolants. It helps to improve machining performance and reduce wear by enhancing lubrication properties in the product.

Recommended Concentrations:

Lubricity Additive should only be used after consultation with Castrol’s Service Representative. Depending on the lubricity requirements, the recommended concentration is between 0.5 – 2.0% by volume

Storage:

All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to avoid the possible ingress of water and the obliteration of drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C, or exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.
