DESCRIPTION
Brayco 599 is a specially designed synthetic base, dark amber, corrosion preservative additive concentrate.

APPLICATION
Brayco 599 is designed for use as an additive for turbine engines and helicopter transmissions which use MIL-PRF-23699F lubricating oil. Brayco 599 should be added to the oil sump immediately after an oil change when the equipment is intended to be placed in storage, especially in locations where high humidity and salt spray are present. The corrosion inhibited oil should be capable of limited use, not to exceed 25 hours. Consult the engine manufacturer's manual to determine specific engine model recommendations and/or limitations.
To receive full protection for extended equipment storage, Castrol recommends addition of Brayco 599 in concentrations between 10% and 15% by volume. Lower concentrations between 5% and 10%, may be suitable for some component storage applications depending upon storage conditions and length of storage. Consult the engine manufacturer's maintenance manual or service bulletin to determine specific engine model dilution ratio recommendations. For use in MIL-PRF-23699F synthetic turbine oils at 10-15% volume addition for storage.

Castrol Antifreeze NF - Antifreeze - 1735

Castrol Antifreeze NF - Antifreeze - 1735

Applications

Castrol Anti-freeze NF is a balanced formulation of mono ethylene glycol and corrosion inhibitors. Castrol Anti-freeze NF is a nitrite, phosphate and amine-free coolant containing ethylene glycol. It has been developed to meet the growing demand from manufacturers for a higher performance coolant that minimises environmental impact.
Aqueous solutions of Castrol Anti-freeze NF act as both an antifreeze and coolant and impart very good anti-corrosion protection to all metal parts found in the cooling systems of internal combustion engines.

Features / Benefits
Castrol Anti-freeze NF provides excellent protection against corrosion, and because it contains no phosphate, the problems of deposits in some modern performance engines are eliminated. In addition to providing excellent corrosion and low temperature protection, the use of the recommended level of anti-freeze will significantly reduce the likelihood of wet cylinder liner pitting due to " cavitation erosion".
Cavitation erosion is caused by the implosion of air bubbles present in the coolant and which are attracted to the liner outer surface. These
bubbles implode, resulting in the removal of minute amounts of liner material - this, if allowed to continue unchecked, will result in liner
porosity and severe engine damage.

Castrol SRG Grease - Slew Ring Grease - 1647

Castrol SRG Grease - Slew Ring Grease - 1647

Castrol SRG is an adhesive, extreme pressure open gear lubricant developed as a replacement for the traditional solvent deposited, bitumen based materials.

Application

Castrol's open gear lubricants are manufactured using more environmentally and operator friendly materials. They do not dry out in service in the same way as bitumen based materials, therefore relubrication intervals can be extended and overall consumption of lubricant is reduced. Castrol SRG has excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear characteristics, provides excellent resistance to wash off and gives very good corrosion protection. Castrol SRG is a grey/black grease containing solid lubricants to provide added protection against shock loads.

  • Excellent adhesion
  • Stays in place
  • Load carrying and wear protection
  • Reduce wear and maintenance
  • Suitable for pneumatic application systems or brush/spatula application
  • Ease of application & economical due to thin and even coat
  • Free of bitumen and solvents
  • More operator friendly
  • Excellent corrosion protection

Castrol Radicool NF - Antifreeze coolant - 1751

Castrol Radicool NF - Antifreeze coolant - 1751

Castrol Radicool NF is an antifreeze concentrate formulated using monoethylene glycol and selected additives , free from nitrite, amine and phosphate inhibitors. It uses hybrid technology for the modern performance engines of cars and trucks. This coolant should be used at concentrations of between 33 % and 50% dilution with purified water to give optimum corrosion protection and freezing protection between -18°C and -36 °C.

Application

Castrol Radicool NF has been developed to meet the growing demand from engine and vehicle manufacturers for a higher performance coolant that minimises environmental impact. It provides excellent protection against corrosion, and because it contains no phosphate, the problems of deposits in some modern performance engines are eliminated. These bubbles implode, resulting in the removal of minute amounts of liner material - this, if allowed to continue unchecked, will result in liner porosity and severe engine damage.

Advantages:

  • Protects for up to 3 years
  • Excellent low temperature protection
  • Provides excellent protection against corrosion
  • Efficient lubrication of water pumps
  • Compatible with conventional seal and hose materials used in engine cooling systems
  • Contains bittering agent.
  • Has many OEM approvals

Also recommended against the following specifications
BMW N 600 6910
Opel/Vauxhall B040 0240
Volvo 1286083 Issue 002
Jenbacher TA-NR1000- 0201

In the majority of cases, coolants are not compatible and should not be mixed with other coolants unless directed by the equipment manufacturer. If using Castrol Radicool NF for the first time, ensure that the cooling system has been adequately flushed with clean water.

Castrol Aero 35 - Landing Gear Shock Strut Fluid - 1965

Castrol Aero 35 - Landing Gear Shock Strut Fluid - 1965

Castrol Aero™ 35 is a high quality, MIL-PRF-6083F based ISO Grade 15 mineral hydraulic fluid, containing antiwear agents and corrosion inhibitors. It also contains a shear stable viscosity index improver, anti-oxidant and an approved EP additive system which reduces martensitic streaking of landing gear outer cylinders and galling of shock strut upper bearings. This formulation is specially designed to reduce the "stick-slip" properties of MIL-PRF- 6083F fluids. Aero 35 is available in dyed red (Douglas Aircraft DPM 6177) or straw/yellow (undyed) (Boeing Spec BMS 3-32B, Type I).

Application

Aero 35 is specially designed for use in landing gear shock struts. Additionally, Aero 35 is compatible with approved MILPRF- 5606H and MIL-PRF-6083F hydraulic fluids. It is not completely compatible with synthetic gas turbine lubricants nor with phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids. It is compatible with other petroleum-based and synthesized hydrocarbon lubricants, but contamination should be avoided in order to maintain the unique properties of Aero 35. This product is compatible with most seals, hoses, and paints, normally used in shock struts and dispensing equipment connected with this application. While certain grades of the above materials are fully compatible with Aero 35, it is advisable to confirm acceptability of use with either the material manufacturer or Castrol.

Aero 35 Red is formulated in accordance with Douglas Aircraft Specification DPS 3.334, referenced as Douglas stocknumber DPM 6177.
Aero 35 Yellow (undyed) is formulated in accordance with Boeing Specification BMS 3-32B, Type I as an alternative to Boeing Service Letters 707-SL-12-2; 727-SL-12-2; 737-SL-12-2; 757-SL-27-15-B. These letters instruct the addition of an EP additive to either the standard or corrosion inhibited mineral based hydraulic fluid for use in their landing gear shock struts.
