Castrol Hyspin VG 150 Hydraulic Oil
The Castrol Hyspin VG 150 hydraulic oil range is based upon highly refined mineral oil enhanced with rust and oxidation inhibitors
Castrol Hyspin VG has been specially formulated to provide protection against rust and oxidation while demonstrating good lubricity. Castrol Hyspin VG is also referred to as a ”R & O” (Rust and Oxidation) hydraulic oil. This range is designed for use in hydraulic systems which do not need anti-wear performance but where a degree of rust and oxidation resistance is desirable. It is also suitable for pumps which contain silver-plated components.
The Hyspin VG range is compatible with the most commonly used nitrile, silicone and fluropolymer seal materials.
Hyspin VG is classified as follows:
• DIN 51502 classification – HL
• ISO 6743/4 – Hydraulic Oils Type HL
Compared to coventional Hydraulic oils of the same class Hyspin VG has the following advantages:-
- Good thermal and oxidative stability. Oxidative stability reduces deposit formation, resulting in a cleaner system.
- This can extend maintenance intervals and lubricant operating life.
- Good protection of yellow metal and ferrous components helps maintain and protect equipment.
- Excellent water separation and hydrolytic stability.

The product should not be stored at temperatures over 60°C. It should be kept away from sunlight, intense cold and extreme temperature fluctuations. If possible, the packaging should not be exposed to the elements. Otherwise, the drums should be laid horizontally to avoid any contamination from water and to prevent the product’s label from rubbing off.
