Castrol Optileb CH 150 - NSF H1 Authorized Fully Synthetic Chain Lubricant
Castrol Optileb CH (previously named Viscoleb) are chain lubricants specially developed to meet the requirements of the food and beverage industries. They are water-resistant and have a high load-carrying capacity.
Castrol Optileb CH 150 is both tasteless and odorless. Special additives specifically protect from wear and prevent corrosion. Optileb CH chain lubricants are NSF H1 authorized and therefore suited for applications where a direct exposure of the lubricated part to the edible product is possible due to technical reasons.
For the special requirements in the food and beverage industries where there may be direct exposure of the lubricated part to the edible product or its packaging For chains of production, filling and packaging machines. For slideways, central lubrication systems, and spraying systems (product consolidation). Optileb CH 32 especially for chains in the low-temperature range e.g. in frosters Temperature application ranges:
- Optileb CH 32: – 60°C/- 76°F to + 150°C/+ 302°F
- Optileb CH 150: – 30°C/- 22°F to + 200°C/+ 392°F
- Optileb CH 280: – 30°C/- 22°F to + 200°C/+ 392°F
- Optileb CH 1500: – 20°C/- 4°F to + 200°C/+ 392°F

Optileb CH oils are compatible with mineral oil, therefore prior cleaning of the chains is not necessary during conversion. However, cleaning heavily contaminated chains is advisable to ensure easy penetration of Optileb CH. For application in central lubrication and spraying systems please observe the specified viscosity. In spray cans: Optileb CH 32 Spray, Optileb CH 280 Spray, Optileb CH 1500 Spray. This product was previously named Viscoleb. The name was changed in 2015.
All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to avoid the possible ingress of water and damage to drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C, or exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.
