Quaker Houghton Houghto-Quench C 120 (Formerly HOUGHTO-QUENCH 120) HIGH PERFORMANCE COLD QUENCHING OIL - (ISO 6743-14) UHB
HOUGHTO-QUENCH C 120 is a high performance medium speed quenching oil suitable at temperatures of up to 100°C. A carefully formulated additive package is incorporated into HOUGHTO-QUENCH C 120 to reduce the duration of the vapour blanket stage and provide moderately accelerated quenching characteristics, together with excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability.
HOUGHTO-QUENCH C 120 has Rolls Royce approval CSS 153 Type A.
The medium speed provided by HOUGHTO-QUENCH C 120 enables the development of improved strength and hardness with minimum distortion in lower hardenability and low alloy steels, heavy sectioned components or steels of borderline hardenability.
HOUGHTO-QUENCH C 120 is suitable for use in all types of quenching installations including open quench tanks sealed quench furnaces and continuous furnaces of the shaker hearth, cast link and mesh belt type. It is recommended particularly for applications where staining of components during quenching should be minimised.
