ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

MAR-TEMP R-AP tan be heated by gas or electricity , Precautions should be taken in order to prevent localised overheating & oxidation of the oil. Circulation is recommended during heating. If immersion heaters are used then a power rating of 0.8-1.2 watts per cm2 of element surface should not be exceeded. A temperature cut out devise is desirable to prevent the oil approaching its Flash Point. To obtain maximum bath life when operating above 100°C a protective or inert atmosphere should be maintained.
Consideration should be given to component stacking procedures adopted on quenching. Stacking should be arranged to enable good oil flow through the charge to improve quenching & extend the life of the MAR-TEMP RAP by preventing localised heating
